I just got the iPhone 16 and I had it connected to my vehicle with Bluetooth for music. The music has glitched out a few times and we looked at the Bluetooth connection and it showed connection with coming on and off with several other phones.
How do I lock the Bluetooth connection with devices that are currently paired? Or stop it for connecting to random iPhones while I’m driving!??

Any time you have the Bluetooth screen open it will show all BT devices within range, because it doesn’t know which you might want to connect to. It will only do this with Bluetooth settings open; that’s how it works on all devices. You are not connected to any of them, it just “knows” they are within range.
It said “connected” under the unknown device in the control center window. I didn’t have the settings open, unless I’m misunderstanding.
Also how would it just knowing it’s there affect the connection between my phone and my vehicle to a point where it would cause the music to cut out.
Seems weird to me.
