Lost of notes from agreeing to apple icloud terms of service and conditions

Same thing happened to me, I'm so upset. Years of jokes with my friends, songs I wrote, stories, poems, and scripts are just gone. Talked with apple support and they said there's nothing they can do.

Mine did the same. I can see them when logging into iCloud account online but they don’t show up on the notes app even though it says in settings that my notes are synced with iCloud. The new terms and conditions have messed something up

What the heck?? That’s not good enough from Apple Support 😡

Omg please help me, how do I recover and see them??

Hi all, I can’t believe that having agreed to iCloud’s new terms and conditions that all my notes disappeared.

Everything of importance is on there. I keep weekly records of my business on there, too. It said I had to agree to iCloud terms and conditions to continue using iCloud. Someone has said to update to iOS 17.7.1 but I’m on that already. There is an option to update to iOS 18 but I daren’t do anything at the moment. I have just seen that some of my notes are back and I haven’t done anything. Maybe if I log out of my Apple account and back in again it might help but like I’ve said I daren’t do anything at the moment.

Sorry for rambling but this is very distressing, as it is for many others by the looks of things. Will let you know if they all come back.

I turned my phone all the way off then backed up my phone and I got them back, I was panicking so hard

They’ve all come back, one by one. Never been so happy in my life! I had emailed a few very important notes to myself just incase something happened to them. Will do a load more now. All I did was turn my iPad off an on again.

They’re coming back on my iPhone now. Happy Days. Not happy with Apple for giving us all such a scare.

I’m panicked! I need my notes back on the iPad! They are still on the iCloud thank goodness. Entering new data to the aquarium care tables is not easy from an iPhone…

Update to iOS 17.7.1

All of my notes came back!

Hurray! My Notes came back to my iPad! I woke up and checked to see if the bad dream was over and it was without any changing settings. At first there were none and then as I watched the reloaded. What a relief!

Holy cow! I just agreed to the terms of service on my iPhone, and the notes vanished like what happened yesterday on the iPad! I assume they will reappear on the iPhone like they did last night. I didn’t need to mess with any settings, just crashed for a few hours then opened the Notes app. They streamed back in order of year.

I was freaking out!! But managed to get them back.

How to get notes back! Follow below steps

setting -> iCloud ->

(look for small grey heading that says apps using iCloud listed below is photos, icloud drive…. Click Show All)

-> turn the notes toggle green (turn on)

* it stopped working because syncing from iCloud got turned off in the update

I am so frustrated. I’ve had some of these notes for years and now they are gone. I have tried all the suggestions and still no results. The iCloud was supposed to protect my info and I pay for this big, big, fail!! I sure hope I can get someone at Apple to help me!!!!

Try syncing with a computer - it worked for me thank goodness

I agreed to the new iCloud terms of service and all of my notes have been deleted. Please help. I had very important notes in there that I need back.
