Saving files on Files app couldn’t be copied

Hello!

Recently I cant save my files on File App on my phone. Like example ms word file when i tap the button share then save to files it stating that “Cant Copy” couldn’t be copied because it either doesn’t exist or the folder that is being copied to doesn’t exist.

i hope someone can help me:)

I don’t have the option to save to files This happened after the most recent Apple update. I don’t have the option to save to files on either my iphone or my iPad. It still shows all the other ways ie airdrop , messages, email, notes etc and even if I click on more files doesn’t show there either. The files icon is on my Home Screen on both iphone and iPad but does not show anywhere under the settings tab. This is extremely frustrating as I tend to save everything to files. My previous e files are still there when I click my file icon but I can’t seem to save anything else there as of the last update IOS 16.5.1 how can I get files to show again as an option to share to? how do I get the files icon to show in settings with the rest of my icons

Can't save files to Files on iPhone Hi, I have a problem saving files to Files on my iPhone. For instance, when browsing Safari, I open a PDF file, press the "Share" icon and select Files in order to save the PDF to a certain folder. What happens then is that I can browse the files and folders on my Files app, but the "Save" button is grayed out (as can be seen in the attached screenshot). Sometimes, after waiting a few seconds, it turns blue, and then saving is enabled (the waiting is also frustrating and I don't understand why it is needed, but that's a smaller problem). But sometimes, waiting does not help and I can't save the file at all. Any ideas for solutions?

Still having this Problem? Missing apps in share sheet ios 14, or ios 13, 12, Etc? I had this problem yesterday. The conversation was closed and I thought it was not really solved in some cases that I could see So I decided to "re-ask" the question and provide my solution. I wanted to share a file to an App. In my case a .txt file to teleprompter App. I spent a lot of time trying to 1) Share the file with (send to) the App. 2) Turning the Siri to Suggest App toggle off and on 3) Restarting my phone 4) trying to import my file from within the app. I figured out the problem was that app was not accepting my file in its native .txt format. So using Macbook, I: 1) Opened File 2) Exported as a pdf file 3) I emailed it to my Email 4) Went to my phone, went to Email, tapped file, the file opened and I shared it to my App (Teleprompter) So the problem in some cases may have nothing to do with the share sheet. It could be compatibility problem between the app and what you are trying to share. Others seem to have a problem sharing pictures to Pinterest or other apps, Twitter / X was mentioned. Not sure about that. However................. Maybe try converting the .jpg or image picture to another format, like PDF or other file format and see if the App you are sending to accepts it. Possibly the file size is too big? Maybe try using Squoosh and compressing it. Sometimes image file sizes are HUGE and that could be an issue. Good Luck! Will Sanio

Hello, does the filename contain special characters? Try saving a file whose name contains only alphanumerical characters to test.
