my new 14 pro max keeps getting stuck uploading ios 18.1 during the transfer from my old phone - I’ve restarted the transfer 3 times now and it just keeps getting stuck on the software update screen - it looks like it’s doing something as the little wheel is turning continuously - it was doing this over night for 16 hours! Restarted phone and trying again - something happening again - help

Start over. Reset the new phone to factory settings, then set it up as if it was a new phone without using the transfer feature. You should then be able to update it to 18.1. When that finishes, again reset it to factory settings and restart the transfer process and it should go smoothly.
