The system is prompting me to provide a recovery key, which I do not have. My Apple ID is connected to the device, but I still cannot proceed with resetting the password. This situation is urgent, as all my important data is stored on the laptop, and I am currently unable to access it.


I kindly request your guidance on how to resolve this issue. Please let me know if any further details are required to verify my ownership of the device or facilitate the recovery process.

You're not communicating with Apple when you post in the Community. Apple support or customer services representatives do not participate in these forums. We're all just fellow users, helping out as we have time and knowledge to share.

If you set a recovery key and did not make a record of it, you will need to contact Apple Support via the link at the bottom of the above web page and ask for assistance. Note that this is likely to be a slow process, quite probably taking several days or even weeks as Apple works to verify that you are who you say you are and are authorized for that Apple Account.
