What Does "Service" in Parts & Service Mean on My New iPhone 11 ?

Where did you buy this “new” iPhone? Go to→Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage and enter the serial number. If the phone is truly new the end of the warranty should be a year from when you bought it.

Actually, it means that the battery has been replaced. And it IS something to worry about (and return) if the iPhone was sold as “new”.

If your phone really is "new", then it must have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for over 2+ years, since Apple stopped producing this phone over 2 years ago.

That could not have been good for the battery.

It is not that difficult though, for a store to repackage and rewrap a phone to make it look like it is "new".

The warranty starts when the phone was sold as new, it has nothing to do with the manufacturing date. So the phone CLEARLY was not new, and you were scammed.

Please note that the iPhone 11 was discontinued over 2 years, so it is highly unlikely that it is new. It would appear you need a new battery.
