Books app keeps books in two folders with the name "books"

One of the folders is seen in iCloud Drive, the other books folder is not visible

This is very confusing. I would like to see all books in one folder, not two. And not with the same name.

Duplicates arise easily in Books app, and this is a problem too.

How to manage my books in iCloud In the past, I could manage my books in iCloud by going to System preferences -> My account -> iCloud -> Manage. Then I could select Apple Books and show the contents as a finder folder. That allowed me to look for the largest books and be able to transfer them to my local Hard drive. But since a few months, when I do that I get an error message when I click on Apple Books, stating that "an error occurred during loading of the detailed presentation. Try later again".

Books App does not show the number of books, nor the size? In my Books App I cannot see the size of my library, items and Mb of each book Nor is it possible to see the folder where the books are stored?

I really don't care what you like or don't. I was simply illustrating that, contrary to you assertion, Calibre can indeed be customised. Good luck with your issues going forward.
