How to Recover Passwords Missing After iOS 18.1.1 Update?
Settings menu listing seems significantly truncated, and ‘Passwords’ is missing.
Can I still access them ?

Passwords are now stored in an app called Passwords. Look for it on your homescreens

It takes more steps now. You’re the only one who likes it, as this thread proves.
Nope. It doesn't and you know it doesn't.
Old Way:
Open your iPhone
Tap Settings App
Scan down to Keychain/Passwords
Tap there
Look for Passwords
New Way
Open your iPhone
Tap Passwords App (which you can conveniently place on your first page of apps or even in your dock)
Tap it
Look for Passwords
So, we'll wait for you to tell us how the new way takes more steps.
In iOS 18, the Passwords section in Settings was replaced by a brand new application: Passwords. If this app was removed from your device, download it again: App Store - Passwords.
They were moved to General under autofill passwords. The icon is called passkeys. So inconvenient!!

Finally found the email account passwords. UGH! Right where you would expect them. NOT in the new Passwords App as one would imagine, but it is in:
Settings>Apps>Contacts>Contact Accounts
Dang guys, why didn't we think of that? Now email accounts are Contacts. Awesome. Mystery Solved
You aren't speaking with Apple. No one here made any changes. This is a user to user only forum and no one here works for Apple.
This change is in my opinion, one of the best changes Apple has made in a long time. Putting our passwords in an App, which we can place on our first page of apps or even in the dock, simplifies where to look for our passwords, by eliminating multiple steps we had to go through when they were in Settings.
Just call Apple support. They totally walked me thru fixing mine. It works just like before and can find the saved passwords just fine.
The passwords will be automatically downloaded from iCloud to the Passwords app once you reinstall it. In the off chance they don’t, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Passwords and turn on Sync this iPhone.
Thank you! I downloaded Passwords from the App Store.. and all my passwords are back! It was so simple! Thank you!
My passwords are gone from settings after upgrade to 18.1.1. I have an IPAD nit an iPhone. I have read I can get them back by reinstalling or something . I have no idea! Anyway what do I have to do? Reinstall the update or what! K

How is this more “secure”? hate it. I actually accidentally did the update, I prefer to wait a few months (or years) until all the bugs are worked out. Unfortunately this is bigger than a bug it’s more of a female dog.
Bad enough passwords moved but after finding them, they don’t automatically populate in apps. I can’t even copy/paste… WTH?!
What craziness must I do to get the passwords to associate automatically to the app it belongs to?!
(Updates should make things better not completely change important things that did not need to be messed with!!!! Dang!!!)

Apple caused me a lot of anguish with this change... Why do Apple do these changes without any warning?
Hmmm, let's see, Apple announced iOS 18 last June. They held a big conference, which was recorded and distributed to just about every website out there. And in that conference, they discussed the changes coming in iOS 18, including the passwords app. Then they put on their website a link about iOS 18, which talked about the new Passwords app. Then when iOS was officially released, just like with EVERY iOS update, bug or small, on the update page, they listed what's new in the release notes, which mentioned the Passwords app. You can't suggest Apple makes changes without any warning. You can say, you didn't do any research on what's new and that Omar, is ALL on you.
Multiple people, myself included, have said we don’t want the Passwords app on our first page. That creates an additional step of sliding to the page where that app is located or searching for that app before opening it. Thanks for playing.
