Using steps counter as automatic crochet stitch counter?

I see a lot of people complaining of how their watch counts steps while they are crocheting. Originally I was looking for an Apple Watch app that automatically counted my crochet stitches for me because I always lose count. I didn’t have any luck with finding such an app. So my question is. If the watch marks stitches as a step. Is there a way for me to reset my steps before I begin a crochet project so that it’ll start from zero? Better yet. Is there an easily accessible way to keep resetting it to zero after every row of crochet stitches so it’s accurate to every row?
