Did you remove the VPN profile at this path,

iPhone > Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > remove VPN profile

You will also need to reset network settings.

Each card also has an address associated with the account. Please follow this path;

iPhone > Settings > Apple ID (Your Name at top of screen) > Payment & Shipping > tap card to edit > tap Billing address > tap edit (upper right corner of screen) edit necessary changes

Apple made changes when iOS 18 was introduced that effect EFTPOS cards. The changes were in regard to banking regulation changes. Your issue seems specific to Australia and I’m urging that those affected contact Apple Support in Australia.

Same issue, also Australia. Ever since the ios18 update, no cards in ApplePay work. I hold the phone to the card reader and nothing is recognised. The physical cards all work and the banks confirm that nothing is wrong, so it is an ios18 wallet fault.

Mine isn’t working either, but it seems to be a shipping address glitch. It keeps giving me an error to “update shipping address,” but the address is correct. When I go into apple settings and “update” it by deleting it and adding my shipping address back in, I am still having the same issue. Kind of frustrating on Cyber Monday.

Please download a free app called NFC Checker (its free) and check and see if it recognizes the NFC chip. If it doesn’t it’s a hardware problem. If it does, it’s a bank or Payment Network Operator (PNO) issue.

Vanada37 – Your is issue with payment methods you’ve added to you Apple Account, App Store account or iTunes account.

Your issue is unrelated to Apple Pay and you need to contact Apple Support to resolve your payment issue.

iPhone SE in the Uk, cannot add cards to Apple Pay walllet after IOS 18 update. Have tried multiple cards. Have tried updating shipping address. Can add a card as a payment method in iCloud. Same card in wallet just says 'card not added' after accepting issuer T&Cs. Seems to be an issue with wallet. Spike to Apple support who suggested reinstalling wallet. Also removed (inactive) VPN. Still not working. Ios18 seems to have busted.

I have the same problem. It's impossible to make a payment on the Uber Eat or Eat app. Either the button has no effect or it simply says "error" in the application. I finally changed the payment method (without using Apple Pay) and it works. This problem has only existed since version 18.2 for me.

It’s probably the NFC module failing. If you follow this path what do you see?

No one has reported this issue in the community and in addition I’ve not seen it mentioned on other social media platforms such as Facebook and Reddit. The update has been out nearly 2 weeks, so if it were more than an isolated incident, more people would be reporting it.
