Apple Pay Not Working After Update

Mine isn’t working either, but it seems to be a shipping address glitch. It keeps giving me an error to “update shipping address,” but the address is correct. When I go into apple settings and “update” it by deleting it and adding my shipping address back in, I am still having the same issue. Kind of frustrating on Cyber Monday.

In my case, it’s clearly an issue with Apple Pay (the cards added to my wallet).

What issue specifically? The posts directly above yours is from people in Australia and issues with EFTPOS. Is that your issue?

Yep I have the same exact problem. The card I had linked prior to the update no longer works. Says it can’t use this type of card or contact the bank which I did and everything is fine. This is beyond frustrating especially now.

OK, check these three locations please;

Each card also has an address associated with the account. Please follow this path;

iPhone > Settings > Apple ID (Your Name at top of screen) > Payment & Shipping > tap card to edit > tap Billing address > tap edit (upper right corner of screen) edit necessary changes

iPhone > Settings > Apple ID (Your Name at top of screen) > Payment & Shipping > Shipping Address (edit or delete address

iPhone > Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Transaction Defaults (scroll down) > Shipping Address > Edit (upper right corner of screen) > either Enter New Shipping Address, add new address or edit/delete addresses

EFTPOS is not the same issue. Only a few countries use EFTPOS and Apple is following the Australian banking regulation changes the went into effect back in July. EFTPOS issues having nothing to do with iOS 18.1.1

Hi, I thought this was because I changed phones. For me nothing happens. I hold my phone over the reader & its like nothing is there.... Have tried deleting & reloading the card

Vanada37 – Your is issue with payment methods you’ve added to you Apple Account, App Store account or iTunes account.

Your issue is unrelated to Apple Pay and you need to contact Apple Support to resolve your payment issue.

Apple made changes when iOS 18 was introduced that effect EFTPOS cards. The changes were in regard to banking regulation changes. Your issue seems specific to Australia and I’m urging that those affected contact Apple Support in Australia.

I don’t think I’ve confused them

but sure I can’t send someone Apple Cash. I know the card is good cause I called the bank. I changed nothing other than updating to 18.1.1

The problem is with the wallet.

No one has reported this issue in the community and in addition I’ve not seen it mentioned on other social media platforms such as Facebook and Reddit. The update has been out nearly 2 weeks, so if it were more than an isolated incident, more people would be reporting it.

When you say you can’t use them, what do you mean exactly?
