My Macbook Pro 2018 shuts down immediately after turning on even though It is fully charged and battery health is stated as normal.

I bought this Mac refurbished, just a few weeks ago. When I first bought it, it shut down without warning when it was still about 60% charged. The battery indicated that it needed servicing, so I sent it back to the seller and he fitted a new battery. Then, it switched off immediately after logging in. I followed the instructions from "nde176" who advised "It’s a software problem. Simply turn off your pc, leave for 1 minute then turn it back on I’m recovery mode (press command + R after pressing the power on button). Make sure your charger is plugged in. After opening recovery mode and choosing the language, proceed to disconnect your charger. Your pc will warn you that the battery is very low. Ignore it. It is a software error. Connect the pc to a wifi and open safari. Browse as much as u can until the battery completely drains out and the pc shuts down by itself (to know if the pc is fully drained after it goes off, try putting it on, if the low battery signal comes on, then the battery isn’t fully drained). After draining the battery, allow for 20 minutes then connect the charger and put it back on, the battery will now charge normally". This worked, but then, I updated to the latest version of OS and now the problem has returned, but worse, it switches off straight after booting up and the 'fix' no longer works. Does anyone have a solution!?

You're welcome.

Yes, the fact that it works in safe mode is an indicator that the problem may be in software.

It will help us troubleshoot it you will please run an EtreCheck evaluation of your Mac and post the generated report back here in a reply. "Refurbished" means nothing on the used computer market unless a reputable company like Apple, OWC/masales or other reputable reseller uses the term. Almost no private reseller or private party knows what it means nor how to do it.

You bought a used MacBook Pro that was someone else's problem. Now it's yours. And the advice you relayed was less than stellar.

Batteries fail, even new ones.

I don't see anything that jumps out as problematic here.

You have plenty of available drive space.

You have plenty of RAM.

I see no apps that might typically be trouble – anti-virus, VPN, cleaners, etc.

Your drive speeds look great.

I see several instances of high CPU usage and a handful of app/process crashes, but not a high number.

The system and software load look okay to me. I don't see anything in software that I believe would cause your system to shut down. Maybe as others look they may see something I've missed.

I'll stick to my first instinct that it's a hardware problem that you have, as intermittent it may be.

FWIW, when you need to submit a large report such as this, the guidance for making it manageable is here:
