Disconnecting previous Apple Account from refurbished AirPods 3

Hello,

I recently purchased a pair of refurbished AirPods 3 online. However, when I try to connect them, I get a message saying they are linked to another Apple ID, which seems to belong to the previous owner. Is there any way to disconnect the previous Apple ID from these AirPods? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
