Life360 Something went wrong please try again later error

I installed life360 on my childs new iPhone 16 Pro. This is a new account. I was unable to get life360 to send a link to the phone when I entered the cell phone number. I got on a computer and created an account for my child. I then tried logging into the account on the phone with that account, and I get the same error. I have tried both the cell phone number and email address.

I have uninstalled the app and restarted the phone and it is still not working.
