Apple News fails to load after iOS 18.2 install on 7 Gen iPad. Tried deleting and reinstalling news app, resetting network settings, pausing VPN, and a full reset, all without success. Any tips would be appreciated.

So ... I have been able to get it to work after 18.2.1 on 7th Gen iPad [partially!]. Following some of the previous recommendations, here are the steps:
This gives you a working install of News+, but without the syncing across devices. You can re-select magazine again and enter subscriptions etc. I've been through this cycle a couple of times (I made the mistake of turning News on again in iCloud the first time) and it looks to be repeatable. Not ideal, but if it works for you, at least you have got some of your functionality back. Good luck!
18.3 doesn’t help either. Frustrating for a paid subscription.
18.3 installation did not help. News still hangs.

I have the exact same problem on a Gen 7 iPad. I went to the Apple chat support and they were unable to address the issue. I moved to phone support and they were unable as well. This is a widespread problem and customer support can’t solve it. They also have no timeline for a solution so …. we wait.
No, updating your IOS does not solve the problem.
I upgraded to 18.3 this afternoon and it looks like the Apple News App is loading.... God that took a long time to fix!!!
