iPhone 16 Pro Unstability

So I got my iPhone 16 Pro the very end of October and have had so many issues. I have spent HOURS chatting with apple support and have gotten no solutions. The first big issue was after downloading IOS 18.1 my text messages would delete themselves off my phone on their own and wouldn’t even be in recently deleted. I did everything to try to fix it that support said and nothing worked.

My phone unfortunately got worse however when in the course of a week it crashed twice. I took it to the Apple Store and they said the analytics said it’s unstable so I would need to bring it in for a repair. They ordered a part for my phone and I took it back to get the repair today. I dropped it off with them and trusted it’d be fine. However when I went to pick up my phone they told me that it’s fully charged and on but the display isn’t working.

i had no display issues previously so something happened during the repair.

as I’ve said, my phone is brand new, and when I first took it in, they said they saw no signs of physical damage so clearly it was an issue with the way it was manufactured. My frustration is I don’t understand why they can’t just give me a new phone when my phone is new and there are so many issues with my phone. I left the Apple store with a loaner phone while to my understanding they’re ordering a new phone that they’re going to use the new phones parts to replace parts of my phone or something like that. I’m honestly not sure what they’re doing but I don’t think I’m just getting a new phone. I think somethings happening. But my frustration goes even deeper in that I was told to go ahead and back up my phone to the iCloud Before I brought it in today, and I have literally tried all week to get the entire thing to back up and it would only partially back up and then it would drop. I couldn’t even get my Photos to back up to my iCloud. I’ve had the most stressful week and a half dealing with customer service and I feel like everything is just getting worse and I don’t have a real solution for my phone. I’m so frustrated that I had to buy a new phone because my old phone was starting to slow down And right now I don’t even have a phone really.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what I can do because it doesn’t seem right that I bought a brand new phone and a month later it’s completely broken, especially since it got worse after being repaired by Apple.

If you feel an unauthorized person/app is remotely using, controlling or monitoring your device, then that is possible only if you have done one or more of the following Don'ts...

  1. Don't hand over an iPhone to kids or to a stranger without Enabling Guided Access
  2. Don't share Apple IDs
  3. Don't Jailbreak
  4. Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device
  5. Don't give in to Phishing
  6. Don't plug in your device in Airports and Public places through third-party cables and trust the device. Beware of Juice Jacking. (Especially in India)
  7. Don't leave your iPhone unlocked and unattended in public places like offices, schools, malls, etc.

If one of the above is true then quickly change the Apple ID Password and Return iPhone settings to their defaults.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

See what each update does: About iOS 18 Updates, About iOS 17 Updates, About iOS 16 Updates, About iOS 15 Updates, About iOS 14 Updates, About iOS 13 Updates, About iOS 12 Updates, and so on...
