Logging in to Macbook pro stuck after data transfer

Hi,

I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I'm about to transfer all data from my old Macbook Pro. I started transferring via WiFi but it was very slow (almost 10 hours duration), so I decided to cancel the process and use Time Machine. After that I tried to log in to the new Macbook but the loading icon has been rolling for about 45 minutes now. Is this normal after or should I reboot the computer and is it safe?

Best,

Topi

if you are stuck reboot and see where it leaves you...

I never recommend wireless transfer for large data migration— as you discovered

The most trouble free way to move to a new machine, is using the Setup Assistant on the initial boot of a brand new machine— you have one shot here. Set up your MacBook Pro - Apple Support

The second best way is use the Migration Assistant.
