Don’t purchase ChatGPT Plus membership via iOS App
I have 2 gmail addresses: my_gmail_1@gmail.com and my_gmail_2@gmail.com. I used my_gmail_1@gmail.com to login in ChatGPT iOS app and my Apple ID is my_gmail_2@gmail.com. After I purchased Plus membership via iOS app, my ChatGPT account (my_gmail_1@gmail.com) was not updated to Plus membership at all. I contacted OpenAI customer service and they were able to find the active membership using the order #, but the membership isn’t linked to either of the email addresses. Instead of helping me to apply the membership to my account, OpenAI customer service told me to ask Apple to provide the email address Apple used to associate with this subscription. As of now I didn’t get any response from Apple. Meanwhile Apple didn’t allow me to submit refund request because they claimed that this purchase was non-refundable.
Did anyone else have the same issue? Is it Apple issue or OpenAI issue in this case that the payment went through but iOS app wasn’t upgraded to the proper membership? Thanks.
