Macbook Pro 2020 Screen Flickers Frequently

Hi everyone, since a few days, my macbook pro screen has been flickering (on/off) frequently. It can start as soon as I start the macbook, or sometimes, it happens after working for a while. I have shared a youtube video.

One thing i have noticed is that when the screen goes blank, the keyboard is still working. I can turn the caps key on. Second, when I am working on Overleaf or google doc, they lose connection and retry when the screen comes back on.

I don't know if this has to do with anything but been using iphone 15 charger to charge the battery as i am traveling.

Will appreciate any suggestions.

To my eye that is a hardware problem, not likely related to using the iPhone ac adapter as a charger power source. You can run the Apple Diagnostics and see what, if any, issue that might identify, but I don't really have much confidence it will.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support

Otherwise, you can make a Genius Bar appointment for hardware/software service and support using this link: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
