Apple Media Services Sign in Pop up

Why does my computer continuing to tell me to sign into my apple media services?

I keep getting this pop up that reads "This Mac can't connect to Apple Media Services because of a problem with "insert my mom's Apple ID". I attached a photo of it.

Once, about 6 months ago, I signed into my mom's apple TV account to watch something that she bought. Ever since then, I keep getting this pop up. I signed into MY account for apple tv, music, and etc. but I keep getting this pop up about every 5 minutes when using my computer. It is incredibly frustrating. It feels like there is a glitch happening and I do not know what to do!

Hi Annarosie. I had this problem too. The podcast app kept launching with endless pop ups asking me to sign in to Apple Media Services (whatever that is), with my son's password. Like you, he used my Mac a while ago.

This worked for me.

Open Apple Music app.

In menu bar, go to 'account' Click on sign out.

In menu bar, go to 'account' Click on sign in.

Sign in using your Apple account email and password.

This seems to have stopped the problem. Fingers crossed it sticks!

Wondering if you remain signed in to your mom's account, and therefore need to log out of that ?

If you can, log-out of that account, and then: Restart your Mac (Apple menu > Restart)

Wait for the restart, then log back in to your Mac.

See if the pop-up situation is fixed.
