Apple Maps app is not appearing on the iphone

I cannot locate the apple maps app without going to app app. Does one exist? If so, how do I get it. I'm using a iphone 15 pro, macbook air, all software updated.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.2

Indeed an Apple Maps app exists. To get it, it is are preinstalled as a default app on your iPhone. Keep swiping left on your iPhone until you reach the App Library, then search for the Apple Maps app. There is also a chance you deleted the app, in which you can redownload here ⇢ Apple Maps on the App Store.

I see the Apple maps in the app, but when I go to the app it shows me to open it. It won't download. To use program I have to go thru the app each time. I need to be able to download it. Any suggestions?
