iPhone 15 Pro camera is not focusing on subjects while taking photos

My iPhone 15, will not focus on subjects when taking pictures. This is a serious issue because I traveled thousands of miles to see my very first and only grandchild, where I planned on taking lots of pictures and videos where I could enjoy them from far far away. I did the latest update on January 10, 2025, so it is not an update issue. From reading other complaints about the same issue, on this model phone, it is not a software problem. It appears it is an engineering problem with the phone. My lenses are perfect. There is no scratch on any of them and my case is specific case for an eye iPhone 15. Apple needs to swallow the hard pill and start replacing these phones. This is ridiculous. I've spent thousands of dollars to fly to see my new grandson and I have nothing that I can do about getting pictures of him.
