How can I paste a photo cutout so that it can be edited

I have a photo cutout that I want to put onto a white background and then edit.

You need a picture of a white background - take one with the camera.


And you need to turn the image you want to add to the white background into a sticker.


Make stickers from your photos


Then you can paste the sticker onto the white background when you edit the white background image using the Markup extension. See the paragraph "Add stickers, text, and more to a photo" on this help page:Edit photos and videos on iPad – Apple Support (UK)


I have not yet tested this on my iPad with iPadOS 18, but it is working well on my iPhone with iOS18. Make stickers from your photos on iPhone - Apple Support
