Green flickering screen issue on iPhone 14 Pro Max

Hello everyone,

Maybe this is the first and last time that I will be using an Apple product.

I purchased my Iphone 14 Pro Max on June 2023 to an authorized distributor here in the Philippines. Last week, Jan 2025, my phone suddenly flicker and eventually turned the screen into green. I brought it to an authorized repair shop immediately. After 3 days, they said that my LCD is broken and needs replacement, the LCD costs $500 USD which 1/3 of the 14 Pro Max when I purchased it. Unfortunately the Apply don't want to cover the the replacement because my phone is already 6 months out of warranty.

I'm using my phone carefully since this is my first Iphone and this is an expensive one compared to my previous android phones which lasts for a minimum of 5 years. I only used my Iphone 14 Pro Max for only 1 1/2 year. I tried to plead my case twice and ask for an exception because I spent and invest a lot of money for this phone but they didn't bother to look at my case. They said that this is an isolated case only a few have this kind of situation in Iphone 14 series unlike 13 series. I told them that 13 is an older model that is why problems like this occur. 14 series was only released 2-3 years ago. The customer service agent even gaslighted me that I should buy an Apple care as a form of insurance.

My Iphone didn't even last for more than 18 months. I wasn't even finished paying for that item, I'm locked-in to pay it for 2 years. I purchased Apple product due to its durability even with its expensive pricing, but I was wrong. They also don't have a good after-sale service. So if you're reading this and in similar situation, you could upvote and point this same concern to your dilemma. As for myself, I'll just go back to Samsung.

Here are some common solutions you can attempt:

Follow the Apple article to resolve the issue --> If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen ...
If not resolved; please follow the steps in the following link for support with this issue: If your iOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly
Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
1. Restart the device. That's it.
2. Still not solved --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
Make sure you have the latest updates installed. Update using iTunes/Finder —> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support (IN)
You still see a black screen after charging, force restarting, following the steps in this article.
1. You see a black screen, but you can hear alerts, sounds, and vibrations.
2. The screen remains black, but the device chirps when you unmute it and connect it to power.
3. Your screen is on, but it doesn't respond when you tap, slide, or try other gestures.
4. You can't force your device to restart because a button is broken or stuck.
5. Your device is stuck on the Apple logo, displays a solid color, or isn't recognized in iTunes.
