How do I make YouTube videos full screen on my MacBook Air?

I have a MacBook Air 2022 I think around there and for the life of me cannot figure out how to get my you tube videos full screen I press the expand button and it makes the dull thunk sound thing I saw something on here where this person went into they're safari preferences (upper left corner of your screen you'll see safari click on that the click on preferences) but they had different options than me because I think maybe they had a slightly different computer anyway I really can't figure this out does anyone here have a solution?

do you mean the "full screen" button on the bottom right of the YouTube video?

if that is what you mean, and it's not working, you might want to hover your cursor over the video and (really quickly) double click and see if it expands into full screen. both of those methods work for me to get into full screen mode.

if neither method works for you, i'm thinking you should download and run the free version of EtreCheck so we can see if you have some software installed that is causing your issue. make sure you give "full disk access" to etrecheck. Learn how to use it by reading Using EtreCheck. if you need help interpreting the report, you can see how to post the report here by reading How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report. and it automatically obscures sensitive things (like serial numbers) so you don't have to worry about sharing the report here.
