After selecting “Make PDF” the command appears to be processed by iPadOS. The mystery is where does the resulting PDF document go?
The “Make PDF” command would be great if the resulting PDF was filed somewhere.

It goes when you tell it in the Share sheet. If you selected "Save to Files" and just accepted the default location, it should be in the Files app.

Yes in the share sheet you can direct where you want to export the file to.
I am interested in the Make PDF command. I doesn’t give you the opportunity to designate a file location.
