AirPods Max not turning back on after a few minutes

Friend had this issue so after many tries, the quickest way to make them work again is to put them back into the case and take them out again.

Weird, though this method is the lest stressful method to make them work again.

Pressing/holding the buttons does not work. Not great when you're out and about and do not want to carry the case with you. Maybe they will stay connected if you do not remove them from your neck.
