How can I reset MacBook password when Apple ID spinning circle appears?

Reset password on my MacBook and I have entered my Apple ID and I just get a spinning circle, how can I reset my password please?

It doesn’t even give me an option to enter my Apple ID password when I click next I get a spinning circle

You can reset the password using Terminal .

To do this you need to login the device in to recovery mode ,from there open the utilities folder and then open Terminal to reset the password .

Command : resetpassword
