Is the Apple Watch Ultra 2 truly water resistant?
I recently had my Apple Watch Ultra 2 that I'd had for exactly 13 months go into ghost touching fits. Within the last two weeks, I've started lap pool swimming and did that every day. I had to get a new watch.
I'm incredibly apprehensive about taking this new watch into the pool. I cannot drop another couple of hundred dollars to trade in the watch for a discount on a new one--still paying for another watch. And I cannot wait for Apple to determine what the problem is and get back with me later on the one I own, assuming that to be the case. The bottom line is, I do not want to be without a reliable watch.
How is it possible to be assured that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is, in fact, an actual water resistant/proof watch? Given they are very quick to clarify that it is not water proof, rather water resistant. Then, on the other hand, Apple comes back to tout the dive and swim features. I'm extremely hesitant to wear it into the pool now. Any advice? I mean if I can take another watch broken because of swimming back to the Apple store and walk out with a new watch--nothing out of pocket--then I'm fine. What I'm not fine with is cyclically (and unplanned) paying for a new watch when I'm using the watch in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
