Will removing my Apple Account erase apps from my second iPhone?

I want a 2nd IPhone XR but only with limited apps eg maps, phone, camera, Uber , Apple Music, whilst keeping all my current apps on my main iPhone XR eg finance apps

Can I do this with the same Apple ID ?

I know I can remove the 2nd iPhone from my Apple ID once I’ve put the apps on, but wouldn’t that then erase the Apps from that 2nd device .

Basically for security I want a 2nd Iphone while on holiday so I can leave my main phone in the hotel safe but still want access to maps, Uber , music etc

It will do what you asked for.

Insecurely, and not how I would generally suggest configuring this if security or isolation is a consideration.

But your proposed configuration will do what you asked of it.

The automatic app download setting is the one part where app-related activity on one iPhone will change what apps are present on another. Otherwise, what apps are present or absent on any iPhone or iPad is entirely device-specific, and not synchronized withmother iPhone and iPad devices associated with thr same Apple Account.

Focus can be synchronized?

Here is some more about Focus: Set up a Focus on iPhone - Apple Support

Focus is a feature that allows you to present different sets of apps as being visible or not visible at different times, depending on what activity or task you are, well, focused on. All that based on why you are asking about this.

Posting a question about your proposed solution to an unstated problem can potentially miss out on alternative and potentially better solutions. Focus is one potential alternative. So too is using a separate Apple Account. So too can be Assistive Access.

Which of these choices — or maybe something else entirely — is most appropriate depends on why you are trying the particular proposed solution; on details and background not provided.

Can you use one Apple Account for two iPhones? Sure.

You will share voicemail and some other details, quite possibly including bookmarks and passwords and other such, but which apps are installed on which is entirely flexible.

Might be easier to use Focus to set up which apps you want in any given situation, though. This uses one iPhone.

If you want the second phone for security purposes or in expectation of loss or theft, use a different Apple Account.

Thank you, I know I can use the same account on multiple devices , but I want to know if after downloading and removing certain Apps on to my 2nd device, if I then removed the Apple account ID from the 2nd phone would the Apps automatically be deleted from it?

Which apps are installed are not synchronized across iPhones and iPads with the same Apple Account.

Not past the “download new apps automatically “ setting, if that’s enabled.

Focus can be synchronized.
