iMac display flickers since I have upgraded to MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1

Since I have updated my iMac OS with Sequoia 15.3.1, the whole display flickers. It started just after the OS upgrade and all was working fine before. I have run an auto-diagnostic as well as re-installed the OS and it did not fix the issue.

The flicker is happening throughout the whole display, and not just a given app.

When I am stoping using the iMac, the flicker stops, and start again as soon as I am moving the mouse or hitting the keyboard.

No other lines are appearing on the display.

I have called Apple Support and they advised me to check-in with a specialist at the Apple Store, which I'll do in the coming weeks.

Is anyone else facing the same issue ?

My iMac specs :2021, Apple M1 and 24 inches.

I am following-up on this one as the issue is now solved and it may help others: it had nothing to do with the OS update but a hardware issue. I had my logic board changed at an Apple Store and it fixed the display flickering. I was just not prepared to change a logic board on a 4 years old computer.

It appears that you may be experiencing the beginning of the 24" M1 iMac display problems. The following topics illustrate the Silicon M1 iMac Display problem:

Installation of Sequoia may have pushed it over the edge. I recommend you make an appointment at the nearest Apple Genius Bar for a free diagnostic check. Others that have done so have reported back that the cost of the fix would be around $600 US and unless you have AppleCare you'll be on the hook for the cost.

So far Apple hasn't issued a recall fix for the M1s but if you take it in you'll be in their system as one of the problem iMacs.
