MacBook Pro 15in 2019 Shows Plugged In But Isn't
So I bought this MacBook Pro from Best Buy refurbished in October. It worked great for these past 4.5ish months. Then, my service recommended notification came on for my battery about a week ago. This is not my first MacBook, so I have seen this before and usually it works for quite a while after this notification initially comes on. However, today, it started showing that it is plugged in when it is not. The white box with the lightning bolt shows the entire time even when I unplug it. It even still shows that it is connected to power adapter when unplugged. It struggles to charge now, and even dies as it is plugged in. It also completely turned off earlier and I left it on the charger the entire time I talked with BB (3 hours) and still didn't boot. I eventually just gave up and left it on charger open, and it eventually turned on (about 4.5 hours later). I'm just confused. Why is it doing this? I have never had an issue like this, but would rather not spend $250 on battery replacement if I can help it. I have done the reset of SMC and rebooted my laptop and problem is still here. I have also updated it and cleared the ports of debris. So confusing.
