How to resolve a denied refund request for an unintended app subscription on iPhone?

I downloaded an app and it came with a 7 day free trial so obviously i cancelled the the subscription within 10mins of downloading it, it stated that the 7 day free trial would still be available to use, so i uninstalled the app after canceling. That was January 25th on February 1st I got notified of payment that couldn’t be processed so after weeks of that i realized I wasn’t able to download apps or even update them. I contacted the app creator and they said it wasn’t on their end to contact apple. So I contacted apple and got the same response “nothing can be done till the payment is made and then request a refund” so i did and apple denied my request and I filed an appeal and apples absolute “final decision” to grant me the refund was still denied. Please how can they do something like this. I should’ve never of been billed in the first place let alone have to pay for it due to what they’ve done and be told I’d get refundby the 3 people I spoke with I just had to pay it, it’s really hard for a lot of people especially these days, I needed that money along with my overdraft fees I received due to what they’ve contributed to steal from me

This is a user-to-user tech support forum. Apple doesn't participate here. No one here can override Apple's decisions. Are you sure that you canceled the subscription properly?

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button.

Things about subscriptions;

⁃ Deleting an app does not cancel the subscription.

⁃ A trial subscription must be canceled more than 24 hours before the renewal date or it may renew.

⁃ If you have used a free trial subscription previously for an app, you will usually be charged immediately for a paid subscription if you download the free trial again.

⁃ Many subscriptions are set to renew automatically until you cancel them.

⁃ If you see multiple subscription offers, as long as you don’t select one, the subscription shouldn’t renew.

⁃ If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, the subscription is canceled and won't renew.

⁃ An expiration date means the current subscription has been canceled but is available to use until that date.

⁃ Use Resubscribe/Renew if you change your mind about canceling the subscription.
