How can I set reminders on my Apple Watch for daily tasks?

I was told by Apple Support in Oct'24 that the new Series 10 watch would be able to speak back to you, i.e. tell you or remind you to do a task e.g. 'tell me to get the washing out of the tumble dryer in 30 mins' so having bought a new iWatch for £350 and asked Support for help in setting it up, I now find it cannot do this. Does anyone have any ideas because this is a huge opportunity to do good, and help people like my wife, and me as her full time carer. The iWatch even has an option in Settings > Siri > Siri Responses > Always on (for spoken responses), so it should work... Come on Apple get this sorted please, it is very frustrating and annoying it's so close.

We are talking about dementia sufferers who won't think about checking their reminder messages. Surely with Apple's sophistication, this should be a doddle...
