Can I delete old iCloud backup to create space for a new one?

Hi,

I got a new phone last week and transferred everything over.

My phone is saying I can’t backup as I don’t have enough storage space. Can I delete the old back up to allow space for a new one or will I lose all of my photos etc that came from my old phone?

Can I delete an iCloud back up from my old phone after upgrading? I recently upgraded from the 13 pro max to the 15 pro max. I’ve noticed there’s iCloud back up that’s 7.5 gigs from the iPhone 13 Pro Max while my current iPhone has a 6.4. Can I delete the 7.5 backup? Will it do anything, like ruin my phone? Free space? can i delete all other devices on icloud backup Recently, I got a new phone and my old phone still has a backup on my new phone. It is taking up my iCloud storage and causing my phone to not have enough space to back up anymore. Can I delete that iCloud backup without it deleting everything else?

Firstly if you want to use iCloud for backup you really ought to pay for at least 50GB

Go to Settings, your name, iCloud, iCloud Backup. At the bottom list the backups for each device and delete ones you don’t want.
