Address & Phone Number Format Issues

This is more of a feature request or suggestion rather than a question:

I am lucky enough to have family and friends all over the world. So, having a "Default" phone number and address format is not really helpful to me. I am constantly having to reset the phone and address formats of my contacts that are in different countries. This is not only tedious and a waste of time, it's hugely annoying!

When I enter a contact, I would like to choose the country first so that the phone number and address formats are set for that contact, and then it would be awesome if the Contacts App would leave it like that and not change it to my country's format.
