Do Not Disturb Not Working After Latest iPhone 16 Update 3.2025

I've tried do not disturb, work, and focus. Unfortunately, emails, text messages, random "my fitness pal" reminders (what?), New York Times updates, and more are all coming through. I've never allowed any of this. How can I easily fix this on my iPhone?

Without knowing exactly how you have your Focus configured, it's hard to say why it isn't working.

Do you have Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturb>"Intelligent Breakthrough and Silencing" enabled? I find having that enabled sometimes leads to unexpected results.

If you go to Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturg>Apps, do you have "Silence Notifications From" ticked?

You might also look at Schedules and Filters to see if you have anything unexpected enabled.

Blocking Messages:

A. Report These:

Hold these scoundrels accountable for their wrongdoings. If anything is vulgar or offensive, then you can report it to Apple and others (like the federal government). Use my User Tip: Using the Photos App to Report Scams: - User Tip

B. Using the App Called “Bouncer”:

For text messages, there is an app called Bouncer, which block messages out by keywords. But, if these are not text messages, then is would not be an option. Here is the link: Bouncer: Text Messages Blocker 4+ - App Store

C. Use Malwarebytes Mobile Security:

The free version blocks popups. The paid version blocks out known spam numbers, lets you add number to the block list, and allows you to report these numbers to the Developer. So, consider using it. Read the following post to see how to use this software: Blocked numbers - Apple Community

What scoundrels? The OP appears to be getting notifications from apps on their phone at times they don't want them.

How will either of these stop app notifications?

A1. Scammers(the no-good doers) getting these messages through.

Q2. How will either of these stop app notifications?

A2. As the OP Stated: “Unfortunately, emails, text messages, random 'my fitness pal' reminders (what?), New York Times updates, and more are all coming through

They are notifications from the phone, not scams. "Reporting" notifications won't fix Focus.
