Battery draining and overheating on iPhone after iOS 18.3.2 update

iPhone 15 Plus Battery Health Dropping Fast After Warranty Ended (iOS 18.3.2)

My iPhone 15 Plus was holding up great—only a 5% battery health drop in 11 months. But right after my warranty expired, it suddenly started dropping 1% every 3-4 days.

I’m on iOS 18.3.2, and I’ve noticed:

Battery usage stats for apps like

WhatsApp and Photos seem inflated.

Background App Refresh is off, and I’m using official Apple chargers

No overheating, but the drain is definitely worse.

Is this a software bug, or am I just being pushed toward a battery replacement? Anyone else facing this?

I have the IPhone 16 Pro Max with 100% battery life and when I updated to the 18.3.2-my battery usage has dropped so much that my phone goes down to 50% within 2 hours! I updated the 18.4 last night and battery drainage is still just as bad! Apple was sued over this! Intentionally draining batteries so people would buy new phones! I had an 11 pro max before this and NEVER updated because I had the IPhone 8 pro max before that and battery drainage killed my phone after an update! (That’s when I bought the 11!) shortly after that, they were being sued for it! They settled! My phone does much better not updating. They need to check these updates for “bugs” before sending them! Updates never did this in the earlier days! I want my phone fixed!

These are not cheap! I just purchased it in November!

I have done all of that! I also only use the charger that came with it. It’s not the consumer! It is Apple! Too many people having exact same issues and doing everything they can to find fixes for it.

So which is it? First you said 18.3.2 and then you said it’s 18.4? You won’t show your apps using your battery. Why don’t you be show them? It’ll confirm or disprove your theory that it’s Apple and updates. Without you sharing anything the proof is on Apple’s side. They have millions of users that updated and have no issue. I average 9+ hours of active usage a day, 2+ hours screen idle and generally 30 to 40% remaining battery capacity.

I don’t know if there’s much anyone can do to assist you with troubleshooting the issue if you refuse to help yourself.

I am having the same battery drainage and overheating problem. Even updating to 18.4 hasn’t helped.

Clearly I am not alone.
