How do I stop a phantom alarm from going off on my iPhone during class?

Today during class, an alarm went off and it was mine! I don’t usually have alarms set, all the alarms I do have set are ALWAYS disabled. I checked other responses and Ive checked Reminders, no alarms, I’ve checked the Bedtime thing, I don’t even have it set up so thats not even an option.

Now Im just paranoid itll happen again. Im so frustrated

That sounds like an unexpected and embarrassing moment! If none of your visible alarms or Reminders are set, the alarm may have been triggered by something less obvious. Here are some possibilities to investigate:

1. Check Siri Suggestions:

  • Siri might have set an alarm based on your habits. Go to Settings ➡️ Siri & Search and see if there are any active Siri Suggestions for alarms.

2. Third-Party Apps:

  • Some apps, like fitness or meditation apps, have built-in alarms. Open apps that might use notifications or alarms and check their settings.

3. Focus Modes:

  • If you’ve set up Focus Modes (e.g., Do Not Disturb, Sleep), they can enable alarms. Check Settings ➡️ Focus, and review each mode for scheduled alarms.

4. Reset Alarm Settings:

  • Go to Clock app ➡️ Alarms, delete all alarms, and recreate only the ones you need. Sometimes, hidden alarms can persist.
