How do I turn off Stolen Device Protection on daughter's iPhone for Verizon trade-in?

How can I turn off the stolen device protection on an old phone I want to trade in to Verizon? It is my daughter's phone, and she is currently in another country and will not be home before the trade-in period expires. It currently requires face ID to turn it off (obviously not possible) and a security code is not an option. I have all of her apple ID info and the security code for the phone, but cannot find a way to turn off the stolen device protection (so that I can turn off find my, log her out of her iCloud account on the phone, and subsequently reset the phone to the factory settings). Any ideas?

If you have Stolen Device Protection set to Away From Familiar Locations: When you are prompted with Face ID authentication, keep tapping Try Again, after a few tries you will be prompted with entering your passcode. Thus starting the 1 hour security delay for turning it off.

If you have Stolen Device Protection set to Always: Sign onto iCloud.com/find with your Apple Account credentials, find your iPhone in your List of Devices, select Remove from Account. This will remove Find My and also Stolen Device Protection.
