iPhone 12 mini Photos app not showing geolocation while viewing images with iOS 18.4

Hello,

I noticed my iPhone 12 mini's updated iOS v18.4's Photos app doesn't show my old and recent photos' geolocations anymore when viewing each image. If I show Maps collection, then I do see them. Why can't I view their map location when I view one photo? It used to show up before. Did v18.4 break this feature or something? I already tried rebooting my iPhone too. Also, I am not using iCloud for photos.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

https://old.reddit.com/r/iphonehelp/comments/1ju1q9t/missing_map_locations_when_viewing_my_iphones/moo5euf/ gave me the answer which is weird/odd: "Had the same issue , I am on 16 Pro Max running 18.4.1 . If you have Require Face ID to open the Photos app, that is the cause for the photos not showing location when you swipe up.

Long press the photos app and tap “Don’t Require Face ID” , close and reopen app, now your photos should show location data on map when you swipe up on a photo.

Hope this helps! ..."

It sounds like a bug to me so I asked this user and others to report it to Apple. I will report it too soon.
