How can I get a refund for an incorrect app subscription from Apple

Hello,

I encountered an issue with in-app subscriptions on my iPhone.

I paid for a Bumble monthly subscription using Google UPI via GPay, and the payment was correctly made to Apple Media Services and applied to Bumble as expected.

Later, I tried to purchase a Tinder monthly subscription through the Tinder app. The payment was again deducted from GPay to Apple Media Services, but instead of applying it to Tinder, it was incorrectly applied again to my existing Bumble subscription.

So now, l've essentially been charged twice for Bumble and nothing for Tinder. I need help in:

  1. Correcting the payment to reflect the Tinder subscription.
  2. Refunding the extra payment that went to Bumble incorrectly.

Please let me know what further information or screenshots you may need from my end to help resolve this.

Thanks,

Sriram

Check out Apple support's article to see if the content might apply in this case:

Wondering if Bumble is ongoing, and has charged for the current month first, then for the upcoming month ahead.

Else: If the in-app purchases were made through the App Store's in-app purchase system:

A few suggestions:

You may want to check your purchase history and perhaps report a problem there,

or

You may want to reach out to the Subscriptions and Billing support team through their website.

(Eg: online chat / phone / email) You can tap the "Get support" link at the bottom of their website (link below)
