Water resistance issue on iPhone 14 Pro Max

issues with the water resistance function on their iphones that have ip68 standard? (6m deep for 30 minutes)

Did this feature work and if not, what kind of error appeared and what did you do to fix it?

My phone got splashed and it started with sim card issues eventually leading to total water damage. The phone was not old - iphone 14 pro max.

Those standards were achieved under perfect laboratory conditions, which is not even close to the real world conditions you may face. Over time the water seal will also deteriorate when exposed.

If the iPhone is exposed to liquid and is not treated immediately by letting it dry out, it can spread to the parts in the iPhone and cause the entire unit to fail.

Apple will not perform service on a water damaged iPhone.
