The Macbook Pro is from 2016, 15 inch.
When opened partially thew screen is ON and screen/ display looks OK.
When the screen is opened more than 30 degrees, the screen/ display goes black.
Please suggest whether is can be a factory issue like the 2015 recall from Apple?
Please advice how to fix it.
Chafing of the display cable against the hinge area is a likely cause. The "fix" is to replace the display assembly, complete. That cable is surface-mounted to the display assembly, and Not repairable. You can connect an external display or TV set to continue to use the computer.
