iPhone 16 Pro issues after iOS 18.4 and 18.4.1 update

iPhone unlockes withou me looking in.

I was sending msg, my battery was 96% and suddenly the display turned black. Phone shout down. I had to restart.

Last Friday, it did not shut down, but when I was paying for things, the display went black and the Phone did not react at all. After 2 minutes, It acted like this never happened. I did not restart, I did not do anything. It was back to normal, by itself.

On Saturday the Face ID was not working at all. I had to restart the Phone.

I do not want AI, and when the phone asked me I did not see it coming, so I accidentally pushed ok. When I opened the phone because I needed to check one email, first. ALL buttons in the Mail app did not work. When I turned the AI off.

It was like nothing happened.

The phone is randomly freezing. Buttons are not working, randomly. My phone is Deleting my email drafts. If I start to write them again, the letters are not added from first to last. But from the last letter of the last word to beggining. SO the last letter will be the first letter of the sentence. (I have video)

Albums for people (which were created by iOS) disappeared. The only one who was still there I deleted manually. It did not erase. (I have a partial video. It was frozen when I wanted to change the screen to turn on the recording. There was another problem with the photos, but I cannot recollect it.

Alarms - The sleep alarms on my phone are not ringing.

Mail - the search is not working.

Voice memo - I am so frustrated because, for at least 2y, the app is shutting down when I am recording. Sometimes it stopped after only 87 seconds. That part is not new BUT a new bug came with it. I cannot try some of it, because when I click on the button, is not working.

When I wanted to get out the memo from my iPhone to my Mac. The button, for some of the files, did not work. I could press it but it did nothing.

Sometimes I am moving files and it will not move. It would show all the steps, but that's it.

Can I do something about it?

The number of issues you’ve having sounds like more than a software issue. The device is under warranty, have it checked.

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

Hi, I do not need service. It is a SW problem. The last time I called them, they told me they could not help. And maybe the next update will fix it.

The best part was when my mum had the same problem as a lot of others. And the Apple employee did not know anything about it. He was acting as if I was crazy. I was resilient and I find help by myself. But it was just one push to the right button. It was not SW glitches and problems like this.

Apple creates SW. And I am not restoring iOS from Apple. Since last year, 2 different phones, and I have not done anything else than cleaning my phone and uploading clean iOS from the Apple server. Set up manually and 2-3 months later I could do it again.
