Deleting Procreate Files Caused My Storage To Somehow Inflate, Now The iPad Won't Even Boot

Hello,

So my iPad was filling up on storage (just a gig left) so I went to procreate and deleted at least 8gigs worth, but my storage only continued to fill up. While deleting files I would check on the storage and it would jump between loosing a few gigs then, on a refresh, saying it had gained them back. By the end it said I had less that 500 megabytes.

After that the iPad slowed to a crawl, and when I tried closing discord, an image from the app stayed super imposed over the whole operating system until I tried restarting. Now it won't even booth. It just displays the Apple logo on a black background.

Does anyone know what deleting the procreate files had the opposite effect on my storage? How do I get my iPad to boot again? And, how do I clear up storage?

if anyone could help me with these questions I'd greatly appreciate it
