How can I silence alerts on my iPhone 13?
Is there an app or a way to silence alerts on my iPhone 13 when it is set for Do Not Disturb?

Before I switched to using Sleep Focus, I always used a DND schedule on my device like described by lobsterghost1 on all my iPhones. When DND activated I never received any kind of notification until it turned off. I would review the settings you have for DND and make sure that you do not have any apps listed to let through. You do not indicate what notifications you are receiving when DND is on. Can you say what they are? Also, if you have Repeated Calls turned on in Settings, if someone calls a second time within 3-minutes, the call will ring.

You can customize DND so notifications can come through or be silenced in Focus. Read this link and pay attention to the ways you can customize it --> How to turn Do Not Disturb on or off on your iPhone - Apple Support
I use DND on a schedule every night, from 11PM to 7AM and throughout the night no notifications come through at all, except from family members I have selected to let alerts come from. I suspect you didn't fully read or possibly understand how to configure Focus Settings.
It does. I have it set so it silences ALL alerts. No favorites, no repeated call bypassing DND.
The ONLY alert I allow is a CRITICAL alert (an alarm going off, government extreme weather alerts, etc).
You need to configure it because there are many options.
The DND does not silence alerts. Not sure why Apple has this vaporware app. I found a workaround using Airplane mode which is inconvenient but my only option now. That or turning off my phone. Was hoping there was a 3 party app that silences alerts.
You may have a different iPhone model than I. DND once worked on my 13 but the OS updates rendered DND useless. It could be that my iPhone is nearly 4 years old and probably obsolete. I guess it’s time for a new phone even mine is in pristine condition.
True, I own iPhone 16 Pro Max, the newest iPhone. But I don't think that makes a difference as long as you are on iOS 18. I could be wrong though. If you're in the US, call Apple at: 800-MY-APPLE and ask them.

I have both an iPhone 13 and 16 both running iOS 18, and it works the same for both.
DND was different when it came out, with limited configuration options, and after an iOS update ( I think 16 if I recall correctly) FOCUS was added which allowed you to configure the settings with many more options.
I suggest you take the time to read the user guide which will help configure DND/FOCUS the way you want it.
