How to determine if you've been blocked on iMessage and the effect of turning off read receipts?

Really two questions

  1. is there a way to tell fr texts whether you have been blocked? Like the person i sent the message to had read receipts on and the last few messages just show as blue and delivered with the last read message up the thread saying read x day. If it matters it said delivered immediately after sending.
  2. if you turn off read receipts for a conversation, do prior read receipts go away?

There is no way to tell if you were blocked or not on iMessages. Whether read or not, delivered or not, green bubbles or blue, it can mean many things. Such as the recipient’s iPhone has no connection, shut off, out of battery, etc.

If someone turns off read receipts it won’t affect previous messages.

If this doesn’t help, reply with any follow up questions!!

If you are blocked doesn’t necessarily mean your messages will turn green and be marked not delivered. There can be plenty other reasons why this happens as I stated in my other reply.
