How do I remove Activation Lock from a deceased parent’s MacBook?

Hi, my father has recently passed away and we’ve been trying to access his MacBook now. It’s got activation lock on wondering how we can fix this.

Getting into a MacBook owned by a now passed family member I have a MacBook Air 13 from a family member who passed away a couple of years ago. I was able to get into it and turn it on, but it's come up with Activation Lock. The issue is, I don't have access to his phone number, so I won't be able to reset his password. I sent a request to Apple, but they haven't gotten back to me. Is there any way I can still get into the MacBook, with erasing being a last resort?

Need to reset my Mac Okay so my step dad gave me a MacBook Pro M1 chip, With his iCloud on it , he then passed away. Since then , we have moved so we don’t have a receipt or the box , I’ve tried resetting and it sends me to Activation lock , asking for the iCloud and password, which I don’t know , is there anything I can do to get into the laptop ?

Activation lock on a MacBook pro A2338 from a private owner that Bought a MacBook pro from a private owner years ago and I wasnt aware that there was an account linked to the macbook much less what that is. What do I do? And I at a total loss?
