No eSIM option on refurbished iPhone 14 Pro

There is no eSIM option on the cellular settings and when trying to scan the QR code to activate the eSIM, the iPhone camera says the code is invalid.

I bought this iPhone 14 Pro as refurbished from Swappie back in September. I bought the Dual SIM option. Swappie states this about their Dual SIM option on their website: “This model combines the best of both worlds by offering a physical nano-SIM slot along with eSIM technology.”

The model number is: 5Q1C3ZA/A

I fear that Swappie sold me a China model which doesn’t support eSIM.

Open Settings > General > About and where you see that model, tap it again and it will reveal a model number which would look like A2306. Report that back and we can help identify the model you have.

However, a quick Google Search suggests it is indeed a China Model and it will NOT have eSim capability at all.
