Touch screen stopped working after using Guided Access on iPhone

I wanted to use guided access to stop touchscreen from working, but whenever I tried to close it off my phone gave me a black screen and a loading screen and sent me back to my lockscreen and it said the guided access was on. Whenever I tried to close it same thing continued to happen but I could use my screen still. And I went to settings and closed the guided access completely and after that I locked my phone and tried to open it back to make sure settings applied (I do this all the time for no reason) And I unlocked my phone then went back to the app I was tryring to use but then I couldnt touch anything. Touchscreen stopped, I could see the texts and animations keep playing on the app but I couldnt close the app. I panicked and made my sister call me and I saw the call, clicked on it, nothing happened. So the phone works, its not frozen, but I cant use the touchscreen. I have to find a solution to this immediately because its been an hour and I still cant use my phone, its the only device I own.

Hello!

Force restart your iPhone: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support. Report back if that doesn’t fix your issue.

I would suggest you uninstall iOS 26 Beta since it seems to be causing issues on your device, and you should never install Beta updates on your primary/only cellphone, since they will be buggy and will interfere with your day to day usage of the device.

But obviously the choice is yours. Some people don’t care about the bugs and that’s ok. That’s their choice.

I’m glad your iPhone is up and running again!

Yeah, the internet was correct. You do need a Mac to go back to iOS 18.5. If you have one, you can carefully follow the steps here to go back to iOS 18.5.

If you simply don’t know how, rather than risking serious issues such as accidental deletion of your data, you should take the iPhone to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), and they will help you out:

Take care 🙂

Well, it worked! Thanks a lot for helping! This i my first time using an iphone so I didnt know much about it, I downloaded the ios 26 beta because it was really good update, using it as beta was fine for me, I didnt struggle with the bugs even though they bothered me. But they annoy me a lot so I searched how I can uninstall it but every article I read on the internet said I either had to use a macbook or needed a cable to connect the phone to my windows laptop. I cant do both so I just gave up but if theres other ways I can do it I would be really be so glad about it
